Easy Card Tricks – The Needle In a Haystack Card Trick

There are many articles on doing easy card tricks, I won’t bore anyone with an introduction but instead give you the first of a series of easy card tricks – these can be learned in minutes and mastered in hours, this means you’ll be able to do them anytime, anywhere and with full confidence.

You will not need anything except a deck of cards and the motivation to excel. By the way, some people will try to convince you that you need special equipment or things like 101 tuition. This is simply not true and the most interesting and reliable card tricks are the ones that are easy, have a quick payoff and can be done with a minimum of preparation and props (like using you friend’s deck of cards at a party).

And another thing, how can people say these are easy card tricks if you need to watch videos, and buy props and books to understand them. So, the first of the easy card tricks that I am going to show to you is called:

easycardtricks10

The Needle In A haystack Card Trick

!!! don’t just read, grab a pack of cards and follow along, if you don’t you’re likely to just read the trick and then forget it – doing this easy card trick even once will move it into a special part of your memory and you may find yourself in a suitable situation and just saying: “Hey, let me show you guys something”

1.       Borrow a deck of cards; note the card on top of the deck and remove the three other cards that have the same number. ex: on the top of the deck is the 7 of spades, you remove the other three 7’s and place them in front of three participating audience members.

2.       Have the three participants choose between the three 7’s. They are to choose a card, look at it without anyone else seeing it, and then place it on the table in front of them.

3.       Tell the first participant to choose a number between 1 and 10. From the top of the deck you then deal that many cards, face down, one at a time, and then put them back on top. Don’t try to understand, follow the steps and you’ll get it when you reach the end of the card trick. ex: the guy says 4 so you deal out 4 cards, then put them back on top of the deck (the 7 of spades is now the 4th card from the top).

4.       Tell the second person to say a number between 11 and 20; let’s say he says 12. You deal out 12 cards, one at a time, face down, from the top of the deck. You then take these and put them back on top of the card pack (the 7 is now the 9th card from the top).

5.       You ask the last person for the difference between the first and second spectators number. In this case: “Now friend_name, what is the difference between 12 and 4”. He will say 8, and you deal out 8 cards, one at a time, face down, from the top of the deck. The ninth card will be the 7 of spades, the original top card.

6.       You ask each of the participants which one of their cards they think matches the unrevealed ninth card: “So, friend name, do you think your card matches this one here”

7.       You turn over the ninth card and, surprise, all their cards match this one. In this example this is because they all have 7’s.

8.       Practice your showmanship.

From the audiences perspective it will look like this: You, taking a borrowed deck and removing three cards, then three participants choosing between any of the three. The first participant offers a number and is dealt than number of cards. The second one offers a number and is dealt that number of cards. The third is asked the difference between the first and second and is dealt that number of cards. One more card is dealt and placed on the table.

To everyone’s  surprise as each of the three participants cards is turned over it matches the one placed on the table. There you have it, the first in a series of easy card tricks you can perform anywhere you’ve got a deck.

TIPS: You can perform this card trick for just two people, simply take the third card and place it back in the pack after the two participants have each chosen a card – same for one person. When you shuffle through the cards at the start of the card trick you can pretend it’s because you want to take out the jokers. You can spread out the cards on the table at the start of this easy card trick so that you can see the top card without it appearing suspicious. If you like this trick feel free to contribute with extra tips and variations.

All the magical best,

Damian

Easy Card Tricks – The Jedi Mind Trick Card Trick

Oh, the horror, the absolute pain. I know what you are going through — so many days and not a single new trick. The pain will now be quenched me dear easy card tricks fans. The time is yet again upon us to learn magic card tricks. So, get that pack of cards out, I know it’s kept close at hand by now, and let’s jump back into our easy card tricks series.

Today another blissfully easy one, again included in the kids magic tricks category, BUT this is also a street magic tricks category member – why, because you can do it on the street :) .

To the sounds of scotish bagpipes I now unveil, To YOU:

Easy Card Tricks

Easy Card Tricks

The Jedi Mind Trick Card Trick !

I know I don’t have to tell you again…BUT,

get that deck of cards out and follow along with me as I explain the trick. Seriously, you’ll understand it better and memorize it at the same time. My telekinetic powers will reach out to you from the screen and impress upon YOU the importance of this. Just do it. You’ll thank me later. !

Perform this trick to a single person at a time. It’s more effective that way.

Phase 1. Grab your deck, find all the 7’s and move them on top.

ex “Hey friend_name want me to prove that magic is real. Come over here and let me show you something.” – arrange cards as you’re saying this, or you can prepare ahead of time.

Personally, I like tricks I can do on the spot, so any preparation that must be done I am able to do in front of the audience — an audience can be just one person you know.

NOTE: Pretend you are taking out the jokers as you arrange the 7’s to the top.

Phase 2. Pretend to shuffle the cards. Keep the 7’s on top though.

ex “First off. Clear your mind, make it a blank slate. I know it won’t be hard for You.”

NOTE: You can do this shuffle by holding the pack in your left hand, grabbing cards from the bottom with the right and mashing them into the middle. TIP: You can make him/her close his/her eyes here.

Phase 3. Give the four sevens on top of the deck to the volunteer — by know he won’t have a clue that you have arranged them.

ex: “Take these cards. I have impregnated them with some of my awareness so that they may sense your mind. Do not look at them, just hold them close to your heart.”

NOTE: blow on the cards before you hand them over (for added effect) and also fan them out when he/she places them over his/her heart.

Phase 4. Inform that you are now going to ask a series of questions and that these should be answered as fast as possible — this is the key of our little mind trick

ex: “I will now probe your mind with a series of questions. Answer them fast, one after the other. Ready? Let’s go.”

Phase 5. Ask these questions fast, one after the other.

ex: “What is 1 plus 1?” — the trickee will answer 3 (kidding, he’ll say 2)

“What is 2 plus 2?” — 4

“What is 4 plus 4?” — 8

“What is 8 plus 8?” — 16

“A number between 12 and 5?” — over 90% of people will say 7

Phase 6. When they say 7 take the phaned out 7’s and show them to him/her.

NOTE: If they don’t say 7 tell them: “You have a mind that is too embeded in the physical world and it has lost it’s magical sensitivities. BUT wait, let me try something else with you” and move on to a different trick.

Phase 7. Look at them silently and let the trick sink in.

Phase 8. Move on to another trick. Don’t show them how this is done. We need a little magic in our lives even if we know it isn’t true.

ex: “Your mind is wise to the ways of the future. But will it be so in this next case?” — introduce next trick. Don’t know a next trick? Check out this one: Easy Card Tricks – The High School Party Card Trick

This is it!

All the magical best,

Damian

PS: I am having trouble categorizing this, where would you include it: easy card tricks, kids magic tricks, street magic tricks or all of them ?

PS2: Add your own suggestions, tips, tricks and other variations in the comments area. I appreciate people that contribute.

Easy Card Tricks – The Highschool Party Card Trick

Welcome to the next installment of my easy card trick series – soon to be available by email for convenience (daily, twice weekly or weekly – your choice). Today I have for you a card trick that easy card tricks enthusiasts will clamor for, simply because it requires no skill – it is simply a function of math. However, as I demonstrate in this brilliantly crafted introduction, it does require copious amounts of: “Showmanship”.

So, in the sounds of thundering bagpipes and unvisualizable college level word juggling, I give TO YOU:

Card Trick

Card Trick

The High School Party Card Trick:

!!! follow along with the instructions,  don’t read the trick beforehand as you’ll be robbing yourself of its enjoyment.

1.    Grab a pack of cards and take out the jacks, the queens (doesn’t THE queens sound gay?) , the kings and the aces.

2.    Put the jacks in a row, side by side, with their pretty faces showing. Theatrically inform your audience that four high school boys decided to have a party.

3.    Say: “they didn’t have any booze so they each called their older brother out to help out”. Don’t say the stuff out loud if you’re alone, you’ll just feel silly. While you’re saying this place one king on top of each jack.

4.    Say: “but of course, a party ain’t a party without the girls”. Put a queen on top of each of the kings. You know have 4 piles, each with a jack at the bottom, a king on top of that and then a queen.

5.    Say: “like any good party they had too much to drink and it got out of hand” – it’s no wonder though, the poor saps didn’t know any easy card tricks to keeps themselves amused while drinking. “so the cops came …” (while saying this place an ace on each pile) “and picked them all up” (you now take all the piles and place them on top of each other) NOTE: as a result of this you will have a sequence of J, K, Q, A, J, K, Q, A, J, …. you get it, in the pile.

6 Say: “in the car they got into a bit of a scuffle” and cut the deck. Ask your audience to also cut your deck, as many times as you want, really build the moment. BUT, make sure they don’t shuffle the cards.

7.    Say:  ”despite all of this, the drinking, the police, the fighting…” – while saying this you deal the cards into four piles with their faces down – “the highschoolers, the college boys, the girls and the cops” – flip each pile to reveal that the kings are in the same pile, the aces are in the  same pile etc. “all got to their homes alright”.

8.    Pause for applause.

Now, if this isn’t a worthy member of the easy card tricks series I think you just might be a zombie.

In fact, it’s so easy I’m going to include it in the kids magic tricks category as well.

I hold for applause and I’m out.

Damian

PS: as always … (well, not really – this is the first time I ever said this) great suggestions and grand showmanship examples will be promoted to the top of the comments. Not sure how I am going to do this, but you just comment and let me figure this stuff out.

TIPS: shuffle the jacks, queens, kings but not the aces before starting the trick – this doesn’t do anything, it’s just a distraction.

Niche Craft – Finding The Magic That Sells

Good sense would tell us that casting a broad net when marketing our services or products would provide probably the most customers. And that we will be dead wrong. That thinking could keep you struggling for years to find your market – perhaps never discovering it at all. The same as with fishing, casting too broad fabric will yield you plenty of fish you are going to have to throw back – wasting effort and time.In fact the narrower the niche, the more money you’ll make. This is actually the art work of niche craft. As being a song, it works magic for your business success.

A niche can be defined as a focused and targeted group that the services and products cater to. Many businesses result in the mistake of confusing a broad category for a niche. For example, “Women” is not a distinct segment. “Children” is not a niche. “Women who require….” is really a niche. “Children who require…” is a niche. With that in mind, are you able to see how much more effective it’s to possess a specific niche? You can speak directly to their exact wants and requires. You are able to describe their pain., You realize them. You receive them. You go directly to what’s keeping them up through the night. How irresistible is that?

Here’s another example. Consider that you think your niche is “athletes”. That’s really not really a niche. That’s a category! What kind of sports are you offering solutions for? Your solutions for any bad gold swing and a poor batting average or a weak backhand are not going to function as the same. So that your niche is going to be, in this case, golfers, or baseball players or tennis enthusiasts – although not them all! They’ve different pain points, needing different solutions. Talk to their specific pain, offer them specific solutions and you’ve got their business.

Discovering that niche is challenging. But once found, it’s the gift that keeps on giving, Here’s why.

Clients are about providing solutions. In other words, all businesses have been in the “business” of pain alleviation for his or her clients. We solve their problems – the worries that have them up at night – the issues, that without us, seem insoluble. We take away their pain, their worry and obtain them unstuck to allow them to move forward, maybe even live happily ever after.

Sometimes your niche finds only you aren’t focusing. Return over your list of clients and find out the things they mostly have in common. You may be very surprised to find out that you simply already have a niche. A client of mine that has an answering service business went back over his list and realized that a large percentage of his clients were dentists! When he began targeting dentists, specifically identifying their pain points (while he already knew the things they were), he increased his business by 30%. Remember that marketing is a strategy:

1. Identify their need

2. Describe their pain

3. Offer a solution

4. Call to Action

You shouldn’t be afraid to narrow your niche. Remember, even though it might seem counter intuitive, the simple truth is, the narrower your niche, the greater money you’ll make. That’s “niche craft”, wicked niche craft, at its best.

Easy Card Tricks – The Card Like Card Trick

Yes, I know this is the most awesome easy card tricks name yet. And you, it coud have been worse, I originally title the post The Card Like Card Card Trick. How’s that for names huh?

Anyway, what I like about this particular easy card tricks member is that there is no preparation needed. Always like that. Aaaaaand that there is a little kid who presents it. Yes, I always like to see kids magic tricks done by real kids.

There is however a thought. Why? Why would kids do this. And the reason is simple: to show that they are cooler than their grandparents. Yes, I mean, grandma sure as hell doesn’t know what to do with a computer (grandpa still has a chance, but that is only IF he ever discovers there is free porn in that little doohikie).

Yes, if people would have realised how easy it is to share porn with a computer then computer revolution would have happened a loooong time ago.

As a side note, did you know that ALL men watch porn. I honestly didn’t know that but it seems some researches searched for these types of men and apparently they couldn’t find a single one. True story. Kinda makes you feel all warm knowing that we all have something in common. Wait, that leaves women out – damn, perfectly good theory down the drain.

Anyway, going back to easy card tricks – which is the actual topic of this blog.

Today you will learn The Card Like Card Trick.

Step 1 is to click on the video

Step 2 is to watch it — to the end

Step 3 is to grab a deck of cards

Step 4 is to do the trick

Step 5 is to watch the video again as you forgot how to do it

Step 6 is to have the trick come up right

Step 7 is to show it to your grandpa and teach him about porn

Step 8 is to write a comment here

Step 9 is for me to shut up

Damian

Easy Card Tricks – Card Discovery Card Trick

Ooo hah, easy card tricks time yet again. And for you, on this very special day of today — the only important day of your life. Actually scratch that, I don’t really believe that shit. Sure, every day is special and all that, but the day you won the superbowl sure as hell can’t compare with the day you drank so much you puked your pants. I mean, there are days that are more important than others and …

But, why am I talking about this?

No idea. Back to easy card tricks. Now this little doozie is by a little black kid so it is fair to say it is a kids magic tricks worthy candidate. And look at the mad shuffling skills on him. The name of this easy card trick is:

The Card Discovery Trick

And as ussual all you need is a deck of cards. Please, please and again please, do yourself a favor and actually grab a pack of the moldiest cards you can find and do this trick. It is intellegence-taking-away simple and a small child has managed to master it.

This trick involves discovering a persons card without you actually looking at it. It is as pointless as having fun with no apparent reason and it is all the better for it. This is exactly the sort of easy card tricks member that can be nominated in the magic hall of fame and you can clealy get your girlfriend to fall for it every time. If only I had though of learning this sort of trick when I was in highscool and playing for dares. I mean, what girl would like the excuse of making out with you if you show her how she can’t guess how you knew her card.

I’ll shut up know. Watch a video and make sure to give a holla to this very dextrous kid.

Drinking to your health (as I’m sure as hell not drinking for mine),

Damian

Easy Card Tricks – This Guy Invented His Own Easy Card Trick

Hey there, what it do baby boo. Snoop Dogg impersonation, sorry. No really I’m SORRY.

Wanted to share something really cool today. This guy invented his own easy card tricks. It just goes to show that once you start learning some stuff and actually get a little a bit of experience you can actually start to create your own easy card tricks.

In the video he shows you how this trick works and then proceeds to explain it to you. What I particularly like about this guy is that he seems to be just like me, just a guy who likes easy card tricks and is passionate enough to actually keep learning new ones.

Another thing that I liked was that he actually got views. You see what happens with a lot of actually good things is that they get buried under a whole heap of inferior quality stuff. And since it is far easier to create low quality stuff (and a lot faster) it is quite easy for people who do superficial searches to never get to find the really high quality stuff.

So, what I want to do is just find the good stuff out there and just promore it.

One last thing — and this is if you actually like easy card tricks and intend to learn get good with some of them — make a training journal. That is to say, when you come across a good trick that you like make a short list of the steps it takes to get it done. Do this just a couple times a week and in a year you’ll have a database of hundres of really cool easy card tricks. Just a little tip for you. Now enjoy the video and if you like it remember to go to youtube and actually like this video. It really keeps an author motivated to have his work appreciated.

Cheers,

Damian
